US suspends over USD 1.1 billion 'security help' to Pakistan for 'harboring fear gatherings'

Washington: The United States has suspended more than USD 1.15 billion security help to Pakistan, blaming Islamabad for ''harboring fear bunches like the Afghan Taliban and the Haqqani Network inside its outskirt'' and demonstrating an unwillingness to take "definitive activities" against them.

The solidifying of all security help to Pakistan comes days after President Donald Trump in a New Year tweet blamed Pakistan for offering nothing to the US except for "falsehoods and misleading" and giving "place of refuge" to fear mongers as a byproduct of its USD 33 billion guide in the course of the most recent 15 years.

The State Department official guarded the choice not to suspend regular citizen help.

"We as a whole have no motivation to trust that regular citizen help speaks to any type of use. The components of the Pakistani government that necessities to make the strides that we're discussing are not touched by non military personnel help. In this way, it wouldn't bode well to attach non military personnel help to those means that we're requesting," the authority said.

The US has been holding standard chats with Pakistan, the authority stated, including that they don't trust that discussions are an impasse as announced in some segment of the media.

"We are having discussions on a week after week premise at senior levels with the Pakistanis. Our expectation isn't that they will consider this to be the finish of the street," the authority said.

"Our expectation is that they will consider this to be a further sign of this present organization's massive disappointment with the direction of our relationship and that they should be not kidding about making the strides we requested that all together put it on a more strong balance," the State Department Official said.
